Maggie Beer Cooking Classics


Maggie Beer is one of the nicest women I have met in the food industry here in Oz. She’s exactly as you would think her to be in person ~ kind, gracious, super friendly and warm, just overall a really beautiful woman. I have all of her books now and she’s a great inspiration to me. This year Penguin have produced a set of some of their most prolific cookbook author’s work in a box set called ‘Lantern Cooking Classics’ and in said set you’ll find Maggie’s book

When I was working in the Penguin design studios back in March 2012 finishing up the What Katie Ate book design, the designers there were working on this stunning set of books. Honestly I was totally taken-a-back at the simplicity of the design and beautiful illustration and individual text treatment, I can’t wait to get my paws on a full set.
