Happy New Year… (3 weeks late eeek!)
Happy New year all! (Ok that really is a tad late isn’t it!?)
I do hope you all had a wonderful Xmas holiday period and New Year. I am just getting back into the swing of things after taking a few weeks off over early Jan to spend time with my family who visited from Ireland. They have now sadly gone home and I am currently juggling a lot of photo work and the What Katie ate book, which is now entering a very exciting phase: the design stage (!) After so many years working as a graphic designer I realised a few months ago it would be impossible for me not to design the book too (yes I am a total glutton for punishment!) so that’s all ahead of me for the month of Feb along with some other great photo assignments.
I am currently working on a new blog post which I will be uploading this coming Wednesday eve, I had hoped to get it up last week but alas due to book editing commitments it turned out not to be. Anyway I just wanted to let you all know I haven’t gone to Pluto, I will be back with some great recipes this week with a Brazilian flair!
Until Wednesday xx

“What Katie Ate” is such a great title for a book. Is it an ebook or not? I expect it will be fabulous!
So trilled to see this book. Happy New Year too!
I am excited to see your book!
It´s amazing your blog, and the photos are a mix of art and sensibility.Excuse-me, because y am in Brazil now, an my english is very poor. Y am a chef of a delivery restaurant in South of Brazil, in Pelotas´s city. All that y see in your work is great, incredible

Katie,
Just come across your blog and what a whirlwind career across oceans! I am late 40s and just turning my (hobbyist) hand to dSLR photos, mainly of food. A new year’s resolution to have some creative fun. Love your wintry shots with the dark backgrounds, zinc tops etc. Does that just happen to be your counter top or you have to somehow create the dark with backdrops? Just curious as would love to try something like that out. Can’t wait for your book! Thanks…
Two words….’ROAST POTATOES’…
I feel like it’s still new year. I am excited about Cheltenham Gold Cup this though
INCREDIBLE ! Indeed, its very nice and useful. I will definitely go for it. Also, tell about it my friends as well…they must be very happy.
