Made it last night for desert. With vanilla icecream. DELICIOUS!!!! And the weird trick with the water actually works. Thanks for encouraging me, Katie!!!
Little negative point: The 4 portions are quite big. Next time I will probably devide it into 6. And I would put a sheet of baking paper underneath the cups with the puddings – for the dripping caramel. *yummy*

I have to say how much i LOVE your new format with the pic and recipe together!! Fabulous! I came across your blog about a month ago and have tried a couple of your recipes and loved them. I so love your styling and wanted to be able to print the recipe out with the pic together for my recipe journal. Now I can do that with ease, and my recipe journal looks all the better for it. Self saucing pudding is delicious. I make it sometimes and it is the most satisfying thing ever.
Thanks for all the wonderful posts everyone. It’s a great recipe and similar I guess to a chocolate fondant which is something I have yet to tackle… Katharina, great too to hear you made the dessert and that it was a success! Excellent tips too re: portions and paper under dishes – thanks for those.
