I haven't had a lot of time to myself over the past few days to cook or photograph personal bits and pieces, but I did grab a few minutes yesterday to try out this gift I was given a few months ago from a friend who went to the U.S.. I am a big fan of Williams Sonoma and in particular I love their range of packaged foods. I always stock up on whatever I can manage to carry home when I visit the States. I also have a box of their Sugar Cookie Mix in the cupboard which I have yet to test out (putting that one off as I am utterly useless at icing cookies and still mentally scarred from when I tried last time - they may it look so easy..!?!) but this Chocolate Truffle Bread Mix has been screaming at me to bake it for weeks now so I gave it a bash yesterday for dessert. It says it's a 'bread' but it basically tastes like the best chocolate cake ever... It's very simple to make; a typical '2 eggs, water and butter' pre-mix, it tastes incredible, is very moist and fudgy-like and best of all it makes your kitchen smell divine whilst it's cooking.
